Old Trafford Never Crashed By Bomb

Old Trafford stadium is nicknamed the magnificent Theatre of Dreams, Manchester United has been a cage since 1910. But United have fled to neighboring stadium because of the destruction of World War II.

After the season 1938/39 ended, the League had to be stopped because of World War II. Before the break, Liverpool became the last team to face United at Old Trafford. The score 2-0 to United's victory.

Old Trafford devastated Germany

During the war, German troops attacked the British all-out. Old Trafford stadium was not immune from bombing targets. Tribune-ruined stadium stands in ruins, razed to the ground charred. Because of this attack, Old Trafford can no longer be used.

When the Premier League began again in 1946, Old Trafford Stadium is in the process of rebuilding. During the recovery period (1946-1949), United put Maine Road stadium owned by Manchester City, at a cost of £ 5,000 per year rent.

And finally, August 24, 1949 a historic date for the pride of Manchester United's stadium. The Red Devils return to the cage after ten years of separation. Although construction has not been completed 100%, the new Old Trafford could've used since season 1949/50 starts.
